We are interested in you products. We are a university and are tring to record lectures on a camera and the Powerpod robotic tripod is something we are looking at purchasing. We are also interested in the ADS USB2.0 Camera and TrackerPod and the Watchport/V Camera and TrackerPod. Could you please email me the difference between these two.

Hello, Mr. Hoang. Thank you for your interest in our products.

The ADS is not as effective in low-light situations as the Watchport camera. The Watchport has very high-quality CCD imaging which is a boon in low-light or where very high resolution video is needed. Another difference is that you need a USB 2.0 port on your computer to use the ADS camera, whereas the Watchport camera only needs a regular USB port.

The special feature shared by both those cameras is that you can use many of them simultaneouly on the same computer. But, if you don't need this--if you don't plan to connect multiple cameras to the same PC, then you are better off with our standard Logitech QuickCam 4000.

By the way, you mention that you're interested in the PowerPod base and I just want to clarify that the PowerPod is meant for camcorders, not webcams. To use the ADS, watchport or Logitech you need the TrackerPod base.
