Why am I getting the following error when trying to use my Network TrackerCam:

prepare connect from external ...
try rose3.homedns.org:80 ...
connect camera timeout!
stop working ...

I have the NP26G-USB with a TrackerPod and Logitech Pro 4000 Camera on it. It works from my local LAN but not from the Internet.

Besides port 80 for the web server, you also need to open port 8888 for the video. Maybe that's being blocked by a router or by your ISP?
